Leicester striker has no regrets Reject Liverpool bid
The glory of Leceister City is fading. Knocked out of the Champions League last season and just finishing in mid-table, leaving some players decided to leave the team nicknamed The Foxes.
Even so, one of The Foxes players, Jamie Vardy does not regret choosing to stay under coach Craig Shakespeare. Last season, he was even willing to reject Arsenal’s offer and remain happy at King Power Stadium.
“I do not regret anything, I have made some big decisions in my life,” Vardy told the British newspaper as reported by Soccerway.
Last season was hard for Leceister. The Foxes have struggled out of the relegation pit in order to keep playing in England’s highest caste of football. Whereas the previous season, The Foxes appear surprising as Premier League champions.
However, Vardy believes that next season his team will again have a good season. He also feels defensive in Leicester, the chances of being called up again to the England squad remain open. Because Leicester helped him be in the first team.
When mentioned about the transfer of Riyad Mahrez, 30-year-old player said that Riyad’s move is still uncertain. According to him, Riyad is still doing practice with Leceister well as previous seasons.
“That does not change it, until the club reaches an agreement with anyone and accepts the offer, then it will be time for him to talk to them (the club).” Vardy said.
